To Hell with "stress of hosting," just who is going to play it? There are already so few players left in the general Freelancer community that any attempt at competing with the sacred cow of Star Citizen is doomed to failure by default. The only hope for another Freelancer community would involve bringing in an entirely new fandom and merging it with the engine in the form of a mod. Even then, the engine is ancient and poorly optimized for modding.

More power to you for trying but I highly suggest you find another hobby before you go the way of the Dodo.
