It turns into a risk/reward thing and when Rheinland has no money, on top of being a risky stop, it's not worth it.

You're missing then point: if the economy is crippled, there's less money around (it doesn't appear out of nowhere). And even Interspace will find it harder to make money, if there's less people around that can afford their services. Money is just a mean, not a final product. You can't eat money, you can't build ships with money, you can't grow crops with money. The war is hindering the circulation of real products, hence crippling the circulation of money as a result. And since Interspace is completely based upon the circulation of a totally virtual resources as credits, I'd say they'd be the ones MOST affected by the war crisis, not the contrary. When people become poorer, they'll lose faith on virtual values and rely more on real economy (just look around, that's what is currently happening in RL). It means that money loses value and real economy prices skyrocket; more and more virtual credits get converted into real market goods, as people cannot afford anymore to stash money in banks because they need all of it to sustain their families. Some banks will fail, while others will capitalize on the public debts, thus making Houses poorer as a result. Virtual economy will become an incostant nightmare, where thousands of billions will rise and fall within hours, none of it actually meaning anythuing for the people, because the ties between virtual and real economies will become so weak to be considered almost meaningless. As a response, though, in order to face the increasing virtual debts, Houses will start strangling the real economy with taxes, thus making everyone even more poor. The production of real values will grind almost to a halt; all the virtual money will be centered on banks/insurances, but its real value will be almost nothing.

That's what would realistically happen on a complex economy suddenly suffering a conquest invasion like it's happening with Gallia. Of course, this is Disco, any pretense of realism is moot.
