are fighters with spyglass/battleship scanners OORP?

The fact that I support Indies and their freedoms has no bearing in my opinion about the spyglass scanner. This would affect both factions and indies. No it's not some new money sink that was created. That thing is old, very old. My attitude towards wanting all ID, equipment and ship open to the public also has no bearing on my feeling of that scanner. Otherwise I'd be championing the idea of letting Fighters equip Mortar turrets. If we've made a leap forward in technology that the once classified spyglass array is now small enough to fit in a snub ad is no longer classified then please make it so and get it out on the markets around Sirius. Rename it and give it a proper history. Or will these same people who don't want it restricted to the one shipclass push for it to be restricted to a Zone or set of certain factions?
