List of unimportant things you shouldn't post in system channel:
- Pointing out that someone's missing an ID and arguing with the guy/girl and all the people around it that's in the rules and that they can be sanctioned about it and then going on about how they are clueless of the server rules etc, etc, etc.
- Pointing out that someone is OOCing in system chat. *slaps forehead*
- Complaining about anything that happened during a fight/destruction/pirating attempt etc.
- Saying "//gf". If you are feeling frolic and light hearted about a fight, then you probably can find a name to do the same through PMs.
- Saying that someone is doing something outside of the rules. Saying that you're going to report someone.
All of the above and some related (those were the ones that came from the top of my head) aren't important enough to deserve the // markings in system channel and should be taken to PMs. Unfortunately a great number of players (more experienced players included), consider some/all of these important enough to bother everyone else with them.
Sometimes it looks like what we really have is a popularity contest, rather than people trying to solve in game issues. Feels like, when someone // marks a sentence to point out one of the above, that they are saying:
"Look everyone, I know the rules and the idiot here doesn't/I'm cool and this one here is lame."
Well, guess what everyone else is really thinking.
