In theory, I agree.
Does it work? No.

Quote:Thus, your idea of event team circumvents the official factions if they are against your idea. I find this rather problematic

Nothing problematic in it, when the events (as I stated) only put dev-made roleplay onto the server and make it possible for players to get into touch with it.

Quote:So, instead of setting up a team to manage each region, I'd say that the offiical factions should just get back to talking with each other and reach a deal that could eventually been approved by Devs in terms of region development.

You got the concept wrong.
The event teams are not there to shape the future. This is between devs and faction leaders. And it is done in skype channels, and not at all by talking to the involved people (e.g. Rheinland's BS at Freistadt that I was told about 1 minute after the new version came up).

The events are meant to put the reality onto the server by focussing on regions and including interested players instead of inactive faction leaders that do not seem willing to some extent to do it.

Quote:As an example I'd like to name the weekly events set up by Order and Core or what they had in mind for the development of the Omicrons.. Did they need a team for this? Nope, the official factions set up a small discussion ( Council of Doom anyone) on their own and when done presented this to the devs.

Ye. That's how it works. Once you know who the guys who enjoy making events in the regions are, these groups can easily keep going. Whether devs are needed in it... I doubt they are. We are not changing lore. We are roleplaying it by the means of events.

Quote:B) Your catch-the-nomad-technology-event should not be seen as a fine example for it. You clearly restricted Kusari lawfuls from participating in this event although you used / wanted to use their ZoI. So what tells me that this does not happen again?

I addressed and explained that exclusion in the event thread OP. Such a convoy would fly such a stupid route to evade lawfuls that it would be impossible to find (120k above plane, zig-zagging). But: for gameplay reasons and to allow the enemy forces to interact, we decided to go straight between holes, on plane. As this gameplay decision would have made it easy for lawfuls to get involved, I clarified that first. It's also well inside rp to assume that e.g. KSP does not patrol the northern clouds in Kyushu, but ofc players do. Because for players, this is not "the dangerous cloud of doom", but a harmless thing. So I also think that my explusion of e.g. KSP was well inside roleplay, as they would simply not be in that cloud.

Furthermode, as it is not an event to change lore, and as it exactly does nothing to harm any lawfuls that were excluded, there is no problem here. Therefore this will happen again, and it even has to. Randomness and too many people involved is bad for every story you want to tell.
