Everyone's trying procedural generation now. All started with the infinity space project (some cool vids out there of that one, but I doubt it will ever release). I think star citizen is using something similar as well.

Actually, it all started with old roguelikes and other randomly generated dungeon games.

But yeah looks cool, will keep an eye on it.
