Prison ship has 450.000 energy...
The Lux Liner has 550.000 energy...
Inferno cannon uses 550.000 energy...

Therefore,

Lux Liner would be dropped to a perfect ZERO.
And prison ship CAN'T fire it.

I know what the infocard says, it surprised me when I first fired the inferno BS turret that I'd mounted on my old liner.

If I remember right firng the inferno just once took only about 3 of the little blocks, and because of the slow refire it'd nearly recharged 2 blocks when it fired the second shot.

Thats why I mount slow firing energy weapons on my cap-ships. At least some of the energy will have recharged before the next shot, so you get more shots.

As for shields I don't see why using BS shields on a cruiser would be bad, as long as the cruiser was set-up too kill NPC nomad BS patrols.

Which would mean not anti-shield weapons, no missiles or torpedos or flaks, just energy weapons.

An if they change the turrets to include ones that don't seem to do much to a NPC nomad BS, eg. missiles or torpedos or flaks, then they have to go get a cruiser shield or have they're shield removed.
