What it boils down to in the end is:

You can be reasonable, you can desperately try to find common ground, you can go out of your way to help someone fix their problems, you can explain everything perfectly, with flawless logic.

But the person you are trying to help is just going to be a self-absorbed immature emo who will never ever, ever ever ever ever admit that he may have been wrong about something.

That's quite the generalization and simplification there. I admit it has been a while since I visited Council feedback (barely anything happens there, I once considered it a bad thing, but in light of recent dramas, it might be not that bad after all), but I can't remember being unreasonable or denying constructing feedback there without explaination. Given that in at least one case the above statement is not true I'd feel it better if you would also point out that it may apply in certain cases and may not apply in others. Thank you.
