Why are cloak batteries so stupidly cheap?

A guy making his first few millions on his first ship isn't going to have the luxury of just switching to another one, are they?

Just make a new character. No one is going to keep 1 character forever.
All of us have dealt with it. Why are we making such a big deal ?

(the rule is nullified if killer leaves the game even for 1 second).
