Simply put LSF and LN have this argument all the time. Its actual comen and with a bit of research youll find this is an In game mechanic.
Each claim they are representative as the van guard for Liberty. This is both and NPC and Faction problematic. The truth is they don't cross channels but LSF has divisions and it can cross over to LN priority's. Even ally with unlawful factions.
LSF could escort a pirate if they so wished. ( HOPEFULLY ) with an Immense Rp reason. If Im not mistaken it even says on the Id, may ally with unlawful factions. Good RP reasons are these agents are in need of info and informants. Or simply fund Unlawful s to do some real dirty work of behalf of top secret LSF affairs. A big part of The LSF is intel. At bars those job postings that give a rating is LSF Intel.
Best way to describe it is Both are different factions and shouldn't cross lines. The LN would be the muscle and direct action when needed. LSF is Agents and ( Economic hit-man and Jackals). And can carry out sabotage against non allied areas and systems. This is a generalization as LSF has different department heads TACOPS ect...
Just in general LSF and LN both think they are the vanguard. And if you read up on them both you'll find it to be true. And This often causes conflict that well, makes sense.
To make sense of it. LN dose not have the right to question LSF on their individual operations as they would be deemed classified from a department that is equal and Intelligence. And LSF isn't needed to interact with LN priority's in general. They do have channels to bring it up With Department heads and Presidents however. As I understand it they are open channels.
