Also, like ships do , this is suppose to have a "shield bubble" around it , which would serve the same purpose, as otherwise I doubt a light fighter fe. could sustain the same thing. ( getting hit by random space rocks .

It could also have ridiculously low hit points and maybe a freighter shield to compensate that, so if the shield goes down, you're practically dead already
