No way to form an opinion on this , as my laptop is being stupid and cannot see those images .
A good pirate will lay in wait , and ambush his/her target , disrupting the tradelane and cd'ing their target. In that moment of confusion is when the pirate should make his demands. Then the ball in in the traders court.....fight , flight , or talk. ANY GOOD pirate is willing to talk , sometimes at length , for upwards of 5 minutes to over an hour (good rp happening here)...providing the "target" also knows how the "game" is played.
The problem lies on both sides sometimes.....the power-trader only looking at credits per second, the pirate only wanting to take all the cargo and cash.
I remember back when a pirate actually had to TYPE OUT what his demands are........and then the pirates whined and wanted a macro...set message......so now the pirates would punch message #1...followed by punching message #2.....followed by firing all guns. This would all happen in about 5 seconds.
That was followed by an uproar of players , because the pirates would never allow for their "mark" to respond. Pirates would claim " I rp'ed and here is the screens to prove it.....and then came rule changes and such.
Good players and good pirates both "know the drill" , and it CAN be a good rp experience for both. Bad player and bad pirate.....not so much fun .
But I will say this.....ANY pirate who is asking for an amount of cargo that they are not able to load up themselves and drive away is most likely is doing it " for the lutz" , or in a worst case , is really doing it to grief others...and that is his excuse for his actions.
Remember...#1 Its a role playing game....#2 Space IS dangerous...#3 Never forget to put yourself in the other players shoes , and see how YOU would like it , being on the receiving end of the demands .
Now..go have fun.
