No, legit? Why can't that work? An indie can ignore a faction's roleplay if that roleplay is an accord between factions rather than something that's actually within the infocards of the games. I've always been more of the opinion that faction leaders shouldn't have absolute control over their factions, but rather creative guidance over it.
