This is the clarion call of every big name on Discovery since at least 2012 when something does something different than they've envisioned.

"Your faction can't do that."
"You can't build that there."
"Nobody [the writer of the complaint and his clique] will take you seriously."

They can. This is a roleplaying server. As long as somebody is operating within the scope of the rules they can do anything they damn well please and it is none of your business whether you like it or not, because they aren't hurting anybody.

So I should feel bad for having different opinions and/or expressing them? And is it bad these days to have opinion that the atittude "if it does not violate rules, it is fine no matter what it is and how much unreasonable/silly it is and you have no right to criticize it" is not good one?

Sure, I can switch to "if it does not concern me, I will not care about it at all" attitude, but if everyone will do that, wouldn´t it bring more negatives than positives in the end?

No, his point is "Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed to exist". Have your different opinion and express it, that's not a problem. It becomes a problem when somebody tries to shut another down just because they don't like what they're doing

I think there are only two ways how someone/something can be shut down effectively. Either by decision of admins, what happens only when rules are violated or the actions done are detrimental, or in quite rare cases by official faction leaders. Though the latter have way around by simply choosing different ID (or alternatively bringing the matter to adminteam which can decide official faction can not interfere for some reason).

If you look around, lot of people disagree with some factions having caps, yet they still have them because only staff has the power to change it. There are people who disagree with existence of some factions (even some official ones), yet they still are here. And I could go on. Some people shout loud against, but in fact they are just expressing their opinions because they don´t have power to change anything.

Only in very few cases one player can really dictate another´s roleplay, so what is the point of this thread (as it seems I´m missing it)?
