That means the fighters were bad. There are so many techniques against not getting snaced, the most famous one being shieldrunning which works 99% of the time.

Nova Torpedo is worthless, does nothing but dies to flaks or deflected by flaks
So making them unguided torpedo would be better, Sitting 5k away from a Battleship and firing worthless armies of nova torpedo that dies to flak fire is boring
Also it would be better for battleships too if they get close, BS can hit bombers more often
I agree that Novas can't hit anything except battleships reliably, and those get flaked unless you shoot it with many bombers from different sides. I wouldn't mind some kind of a buff so that they can hit cruisers as well. What you're suggesting there is fine, but making it unguided with more speed and less range is fine, but still doesn't solve the problem of hitting cruisers with them (unless you ram them in which case you will die probably). Hitting cruisers with snacs is challenging for most of the people, how are they going to hit with what is basically a slower snac?
It's really tricky to balance, but let's wait for Haste to bring his thoughts on reworking bombers. Yes, the only alternative is shooting snacs on battleships which is boring for both sides, but the solution isn't in nerfing/removing the Snac. It's giving an alternative to fighting bigger ships efficiently and with higher risk. Your proposal is good, but it's not a complete solution that'd work in reality.
