No, that's only if they use the strafing bug, and if they do and they manage to catch up to you it means you were flying in a straight line and weren't paying attention. If they cruise up to you normally their powercore won't regen in time and you'll be out of range safely.

However I do agree that the idea is just plain bad, capital vessels cruise fast enough already, and that's only for ooRP reasons of cutting the travel time in caps. Otherwise inRP I don't think they'd even have cruise engines, and if they did they wouldn't go over 200. Gameplay and balance come over RP though, which is how it should be.
