Gentlemen,
This evening I ran two-thirds of a Bretonia-to-Liberty-to-Rheinland route. It is well known: (1) beryllium from Kensington to Pueblo; (2) passengers from Manhattan to Augsburg Colony; (3) diamonds from Bautzen Station to Leeds.
Due to the Liberty embargo, passengers have become the primary "commodity" from there to Rheinland. Therefore, I have had the dock at Kensington make proper modifications to all of our ships to carry passengers more comfortably through Sirius, even in cargo pods.
The profit margins for this route are significant, in total, 3638 credits/unit, not including filler commodities between major destinations (e.g., water from Augsburg to Bautzen in Dresden).
I list total profit for one round trip by vessel class, after subtracting for crew complements:
Percheron: 9.1 million
Firefly: 12.7 million
Lg. Train: 16.4 million
While I strongly encourage variation in trade routes, if one is so inclined, the Liberty embargo has presented us, at least temporarily, with an excellent opportunity for profitability. It also offers a journey throughout a large portion of the Sirius Sector.
