hey just a thought but i thought of if when i was taking nap. wat if the larger ships can have warp engines that can allow them to travel through one or two systems without having to travel through them just to get to the next one. Or maybe allowing the ship to open up a temporary wormhole and once traveled through the hole would close. but in order to do this u would need a generator such as shields that would have to recharge after a period of time.
