I think spudders didn't realise that the purge option was intended for spambots, making a mistake thinking where Shiki's posts could be restored.

The honest to god embarrassing part is that we already found out about it outright deleting, not invisibling posts when we nuked an account two months ago.

Spazzy could not have possibly not known very well what he was doing, and if it really was just a mistake, then one of this magnitude is simply not something that can ever be allowed to happen again. Sometimes, "sorry, I messed up" doesn't come even remotely close to cutting it.
