Doctor Daniel Brooks hadn't fully restored from the horrible fiasco at Yuma yet when he was invited to California Minor. Looks like an almost year-old research involving the strange species of Alien Organisms was reopened and moved from Cold Bay Depot to Cali M. 'That makes sense, - Dan told himself, - That would be good place to conduct some field experiments...'. This thought immediately thrown him back to Yuma, he almost felt the wet dunk air filled with spores and pollen on his face... heard the screams... 'Stop now' - he interrupted himself. He knew that, at his age, he might never actually recover from that expedition.

But still, he rose and went to that small compartment on a corporate Percheron parked in a remote corner of Cambridge space port, and spent all the time to California Minor trying to rehash his records about the past research, and trying not to think too hard about what happened to him.

He arrived into California Minor's harsh fall. Snow was blowing in his face while he crossed the landing pad towards the hovercraft that took him to the lab complex. When Dan entered Lab Sigma, he saw that the samples were already waiting. He turned to doctor Morgan, who met him inside the lab.
