Lost my phone in Tenerife with the online tickets and access to a cloud service with 10 years and 6000 euro worth of work, lost my wallet with all my documents and 350 euro cash in Ukraine, the same place where I lost my wallet in Ukraine got blown up by a car bomb a week later(coincidence?), been held in custody at the Polish border because while EU regulations allow 2 sleeves per person, Poland apparently is special and only allows 2 packs per person and had to pay a 100 euro fine per person and got 50 euro worth of Ukrainian cigarettes confiscated, they spoke to us in Polish the entire time so we had no idea what they were saying, only for a scumbag officer to show up after we paid everything to say in clear English that if we had announced we had the cigs before they checked us we wouldn't have had to pay the fine, been unable to continue working due to my back problems, my diet has gone from bad to non-existant, I lost 8 kilograms since october till now because I'm barely eating,
Overall, it's been a punch-me-in-the-face kind of year.
3 good things did happen: I stopped smoking for several months now, got to visit Chernobyl in person and got my hands on a military Soviet era watch (Amphibia Kamandirskaya) which is in pristine state.
My resolutions for 2018 are to get a stable income, save up money, strengthen the ties I have with a few select people that might as-well be a second family and make preparations to finally get ourselves a place to call our own by 2020. (Don't laugh, cost of living and housing is outrageously expensive in over populated countries)
