Normandie (meant to be the systems of Brittany, Normandy, and one other system I eternally forget), was meant to re-emerge into the mod and effectively out-Gallia Gallia by surprise-attacking them from their western flank and banding up with Bretonia. Apparently Normandie was threatening enough to the crown that a good third of the fleet was always meant to stay on Gallia's western side due to the potential threat, slowing the invasion of Bretonia down eventually, as effectively the Normands were the only people who successfully achieved victory against the Crown within Gallia's history. Unfortunately all systems that were meant to serve as interconnections between Normandie (Maine, Berry, Touraine, Lorraine), had their sealed gates/systems removed/rejoined and Normandie itself was effectively cut in a change of direction - a questionable one as it would have made Gallia similar to a conventional house in potential for internal activity and have given Gallia a credible way it could lose the war with Bretonia, Council, Liberty, CR. The express reason Igiss made Gallia so enormous/powerful was because it was going to be fighting everyone on every flank.

Since Normandie itself isn't retconned (just been made apparent that development will never happen/Gallia will never be finished or balanced as it was meant to be), it's conceivable(?) that Gallia still holds a large amount of its internal reserves out there. Gallia was eventually going to turn into a democracy due to being embattled into the floor, Bretonia, Normandie, Council, etc, were going to march gloriously into Ill De France, and a government flip would have occurred with the Royalists basically becoming Council and the Council becoming the Royalists.

Anti-Gallia trolling really screwed any chance the house had of being active or useful other than a humanoid nomad-esque threat. That and Igiss leaving to play world of tanks.
