Hi. I think Doc holiday hit it at the core as to why the New ZA really may not work. You are proposing going to war over a base that may or may not have been given over to pirates freely when there is chaos in Omicron Delta concerning Zoner influence around Freeport 11. Perhaps you may want to focus on helping get the Zoner identity on track in your own systems before looking to make a move in Bering. I was the second Neph in the Freeport 11 incident a couple of weeks back. I undocked from FP 11 to make a jump to Omega 49 and next thing I see is a coalition of several hostile IDs in my hud with several green Zoner IDs all right next to Freeport 11. Then from the char (C tag came the message in the clear "Take this message back to your leaders" and they opened fire on the first Neph ignoring the rest of the Zoners. As I saw the Zoners with the Tag [TAZ] do nothing but watch, I went to type "cease fire! you are in the Freeport No Fire Zone." Which I did not finish typing because the first Neph receiving the Hostile fire said "How about a little help" or something to that effect and so I switch it to "assisting friendly" knowing that we where going to lose badly (especially since my weaps load out was specific to NPC Mission Board engagements. Have I had Flaks and had at least 1 of my Heavy Slots with Razor instead of Hurricane missles I might have took out a fighter or 2 in that close quarter engagement) I flew out to engage the Nomad Cap that was maybe 1.5 k from me (which I assumed was with the ones attacking since it was only 1-2k from FP 11 which gave me the 10 second rule I think or maybe it did not for everything went down FAST). The Nomad Cap tried to draw me away from from the other Neph so I disengaged and returned to help the Neph that was being ganked and give him a chance to dock (which he did not take). Towards the nearing of first Nephs destruction the (C- char typed "Explorer21 stand down" which I answered with weapons fire in desperation to aid first Neph ( I was in Explorer21D). I was not about to have other Zoners thinking I will not stand with them if called upon so instead of docking after first Neph was destroyed I stayed until my own destruction, which was quick with that many ships attacking at the same time. right after I respawned I undocked to jump to Omega 49 keeping the 5 min to leave the system rule but I forgot to purchase Jump batts and saw there was no time left so I docked and logged on another char in Bretonia. I did green Pm one of the TAZ in Delta to find out reason for this attack and why TAZ did not assist. He explained his groups position towards everyone and he did not know why the attack on first Neph happened. I expected some arrest/court appearance order to be on Forums by the Governing Council of Zoners or something like that and nothing happened.
I told you all this because this would never had happened if the Zoners had a viable defense force already established in their systems. So far I have been looking for some semblance of order interaction amongst the Zoner groups and nothing. After this incident I thought there needs to be a Zoner Defense Corp [ZDC] or Zoner Defense Milita [ZDM] to maintain and enforce the integrity of the Zoner ID and rules/guide lines as well as be a force all Zoners can rally behind when Freeports, NFZ and Zoner POBs are threatened as well as Zoner transports. And don't tell me the Zoner Guard is there for that because I have not seen nor heard them take up the cause when Zoner POB was threatened in Kepler nor any investigation at Freeport 11 concerning (C tag, Vagrant, Nomad and Outcast attack right next to FP 11. I have a lot of learning to do about RP and Disco before I can pursue making a faction with either of the 2 name and RP goal ideas I came up with so why don't you use them and prove your faction's worth by straightening out the ZOI issues and conduct with the existing Zoner controlled bases and NFZs? What are Zoner IDs doing flying around like buddies with infected and Nomad chars ( it is NOT just TAZ that is doing this)? Why is an Outcast tag member joining infected and Nomads in ganking someone in Omicron Delta when their IDs are enemies ( and don't say it is because they are infected when they did this. The abuse of "oh, I am infected" for ganking situations then return to normal after incident is getting old.)? If you can address these issues and bring the Zoner identity fit for RP then everyone will take you seriously including all those that has razzed you on this thread about your faction Name, RP and interest in Freeport 2. Zoner house is becoming the "joke" ID on this site as far as my 4 months here have seen and the OP of this thread is not seeing beyond his ZA faction in Bering to a more critical Zoner issue abroad. This is my opinion as a Zoner with flight time in the Omicrons.
