I believe I know the trader that this thread mentions.
First off, in your ID description is says verbatim: ... "Xeno ID owners are not allowed to ally with lawful forces or demand cargo from traders". Despite how this might be interpreted by the player or by other players isnt really important as the ID clearly indicates its not allowed, thus I would take demanding cargo to be out of RP. For the sake of RP I would rather be blown up, or be the one to offer you credits or goods in return for my survival.
The Xeno Terrorist ID is pretty unique in Discovery... being a Xeno AND a terrorist is interpreted that you can destroy/attack any character without rhyme or reason. I dont think having a few very minor restrictions should be a big deal, in fact I think there should be MORE restrictions about the ID; there are too many people taking that ID as it is and its leading to a PVP frenzy.... where is the RP headed in that case??? I think thats partly because many people new to discovery or RP find it easier.
Every other ID has loads of restrictions, and its constant politics, so why should it be so one-sided for your ID???
I really dont think the whole "i can do whatever I want" interpretation of the Xeno Terrorist ID really benefits the RP.
