Should a recommended ship list exist?

I haven't read a damn word of his posts, and I don't intend to, but I can trace the thread of the argument.

How is Mjolnir supposed to account for every exception or to try to figure out what those excetions might be? This is a simple guide for picking the right ship and how much work you may need to do to get it.

For example: Liberty Gunboat, Xenos: No. That's what it states. Now the XA has a fella tagged XA flopping around in a Liberty Gunboat with a Terrorist ID, how is that possible? Check out the stories thread The Unstoppable Truth. 2 Pages in already and Laowai's only just considered stealing the damn thing. This is an exception. He's Xeno tagged and XA faction tagged, but his ID says he can have it anyway, still we have 2+pages of RP to explain a gunboat theft.

That is an exception. Hardly quantifiable is it.

Mjolnir has however qualified his idea, yellow needs a simple request, most factions will say yes in fact even the RM will say yes to anything below capship size. Red requires RP on the forums.

Now it's folks on the forums who report, thusly getting it written up on the forums and having it dated there, gives you a first line of defense against any sanction. Dotting the RP around numerous threads you've been waving your banner about in, doesn't cut it. It's too random. Collate. Make it easy for the folks who might get up your nose about it to find it. They've no right to judge the RP, if an admin finds it silly, they'll say so. Case in point, one Order fellows attempt to steal a Liberty Assault Carrier in one post. Shockingly enough the idea didn't fly, let alone the ship. But there are examples of odd exceptions the Fantasia has some year of RP behind it. Prospectors Gunboat has at least 8 months probably more. Zapp's LWB fella flies around in a ship he by rights shouldn't but he's got the RP up and it's dated and there's no sanction going to get through based on his ship choice.

If you choose to fly a ship you could get sanctioned for, it is in your best interests to get some RP up onto the forums for it. Whilst you may know the RP of your ship inside out, the folks who have to deal with it do not. That is how sanctions arise. People see the "OORP" combination and there's no attempt to explain it to them in game, owing to the large amount of stories you can't expect folks to read every one, you get reported. Now there's a strong chance that a t least one of the Admin team will have read your posted RP and will point to it during a decison making process, if it isn't there, then you have no defense, unless you want to go back through every post you've ever done to piece together the RP you've left littered about like breadcrumbs.

Make your own life easier do not expect others to do it for you.

That said this is a damn solid attempt to make folks lives easier. It's not the total solution but it's a very good place to start when choosing your ship. It tells you how much effort you have to go to to get the ship. This is a great idea and should be commended as such.
