Ships Log: January 12th, 827 A.S.

It's been a long week. It took 2 days to receive a reply from Freeport 10 and their response was disappointing, although not altogether unexpected. We have too many people for them to house and their station does not posses the facilities to dock this vessel. The station commander did however point us in the direction of the Omicron systems where many of our people are apparently gathering.

This was a rather ironic turn of events, as the journey to Omicron Theta necessitated us to pass through our home system which we so recently fled from. I was both elated and saddened to look upon my lost home again, knowing I will almost certainly never return. Interestingly, as we passed by Lanzarote Station, we picked up a system wide transmission originating from Gran Canarias surface. (sigh) It almost makes me wish I had stayed behind to fight the Bretonians. I overheard quite a few of the crew grumbling the same tune. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them end up doing just that after we get to Pygar.

It took a whole week to cross the entire sector, but eventually we found ourselves moored a Corfu Base. Unfortunately, Pygar has not operational docking facility so those who wish to settle here will be forced to take shuttles in smaller groups. It will likely take several days until I am satisfied that they are taken care of as best as I can hope for. As I looked over the shuttles flight schedules, I wondered as to what comes next. A ship this large seems too expensive to maintain with only a few hundred left on board. Fate is a fickle mistress it seems as we were approached by another Zoner ship and we struck up a conversation.

I have to admit, the offer was intriguing enough to spark my interest. This may be just the diversion I need to take my mind from my sorrows.
