The total destruction of Tur Laidir was unnecessary.
Now dead Tur Laidir no longer benefits the community, and no longer generates ongoing interplay RP.
The situation was confusing. Order were camped by the base and defended the attackers. Other factions took the opportunity to attack the attackers. AI factions were present but are useless with inadequate ships etc,
The Game Masters hide in their bunkers and do nothing about this ongoing Dumb Stuff that harms the game. We get zero feedback about this and again it is the same players harming the game.
GM Connor's PoB suggestion thread... which seems to have been a waste of time, is a sop to placate the anger. Nothing came out of it that is tangible.
It is impossible to defend a PoB when, even vanquished, the attackers can return every hour. As St Denis has said. All the advantage is to the attackers.

For others, modding, and for others its the pure interplay of RP on the forums, that holds them in DiscoGC. And, no... this is not a "dumb thread" as it highlights the harm to the community by nefarious and negative actions coupled with woeful RP.
That is not very beneficial to community when such POB didn't even allow indie AI to dock on it by default. As always, it's just your pet POB project that you like placing around Sirius and has nothing to do with decent quality roleplay. Just inserting the name in Comms doesn't make POB relevant to roleplay.
Game Masters are not hiding. They just don't have anything to do about this. Siege rules were not broken. POBs already have protection from sudden attacks and have increased hull points to prolong sieges.
Have you put any effort to make construction notices for your POBs? Or to make diplomacy Comms before getting sieges? I don't see it to be honest. Last I remember you didn't care about roleplay when you requested a POB moved in front of Alberta's Super Gate without permission from LibGov.
Maybe it's time to reflect on your own shortcomings before demanding for this community to adapt to your needs.
This pretty much sums up the whole drama. Someone had a personal tamagochi in a part of space that is dangerous and lawless knowingly. Then the tamagochi is used only for silently hauling stuff with 0 RP. Then the tamagochi got smashed, bringing tons of combat activity. Now the owners cry that their tamagochi was beneficial to everyone while it clearly was just another bland POB with the only use for power trading.
Also, the points Snak raised were indeed not refuted, instead Snak was attacked ad hominem , clearly indicating that the other side has no constructive counter-arguments except for typical for millenials "my feelings hurt. Dis is wronk, and you are a bully and worse than nazi".
If that is a space tamagochi that you want, please, follow Snak's advice and build a POB in Liberty or Bretonia, where if you pay taxes it will be protected by 100500+ caps thirsty for any action. If you decide to build it as Gammu AI and even not contribute to RP - reap the consequences. On the RP side, I have even no idea what Corsairs could have demanded from you: AI are clankers even without economy. No credits, no food, no use, only occupying space. Hence, "it is free real estate" for the Sairs. Would also be nice to see some sensible RP on the AI side, yet no luck so far since the last big AI faction has been gone for a few years.
