An unsanctioned media outlet has published exaggerated and misleading claims regarding a localized security event in Chalon-sur-Saône. Emergency protocols were enacted without delay, the threat was neutralized, and there is no ongoing risk to the public.

While we mourn the loss of Chef de service Jules Delacroix and several loyal personnel, their sacrifice has only strengthened operational resolve. The perpetrators have been identified and will be brought to justice under the full force of Union law.
