Mr. Duke Silverton, my name is Rick Alexander and I am the CEO of the "Advanced Interactive Executive" company. Receiving communication from your group was only a matter of time, given the specific nature of our work and the constant cooperation of our drones with you. We've spent the last few months working to secure additional grants from third-party organizations and private companies interested in our work. Perhaps we should also brief you on what we're doing before we move on.

The goal of our corporation is not to subjugate the artificial intelligence from the planet Gammu, but to create our own likeness of AI, which is capable of self-learning, but lacks those parameters and qualities that would define in it the personality that we can see in the inhabitants of the planet in Omicron Kappa. You've seen the consequences of what our colleagues attempted: Mars is lost, and we weren't able to fully realize our plans. Many investors we contacted before this incident didn't believe us, but when what happened, the situation changed. While our technologies are far from what AI is, we are still capable of automating some processes.

Unfortunately, humans are extremely unprofitable in the modern economic system. Training a human is much more difficult than training a robot, not to mention the enormous costs of losing one. Some people think that a death insurance payout isn't such a tragedy in our reality. However, few consider the enormous costs incurred over the lifetime of a pilot who could die on their very first flight. The same applies to the crew, workers, and anyone else.

Just imagine the benefits of not having a gunner, trained for years and credits, man a cruiser's gun and die from a torpedo hit in his first battle. Instead, a robot will do the job, easily replaceable if destroyed, and the experience gained during the encounter will be applied to the next machine. We don't have to look far for an example: two of our best drones, the AIX-099 and AIX-087, were destroyed nearly a hundred times, but returned again and again, in a new shell, with improved intelligence.

Due to our limited resources, we can't upgrade all of your ships simultaneously. However, we can begin working on one specific one. The experience gained will allow us to expand our technical knowledge and develop new methods. Furthermore, demonstrating the new systems in action will attract new investors, providing us with more funding. I'm enclosing a list of upgrade options for any of your cruisers. You can choose only one. After some time, we can try implementing something else.

The main idea of the project is to improve the sensor and scanning systems of Cruiser-class ships: the introduction of AI will eliminate human intervention, effectively allowing the machine to take over the identification of priority targets when sensors are used. Unlike humans, AI will not only be able to track multiple ships simultaneously but also transmit statistics about the highest-priority target (based on its parameters and behavior) in real time. All that remains for the ship's captain to decide is whether to attack this target or not.

When using scanners, AI will conduct additional checks of the scanned ship, transmitting not only statistics about it but also full recommendations to the ship's crew, with the ability to run various simulations based on the data received.

⠀└ proj.last.change:28/09/835

The project's objectives include replacing gunners with artificial intelligence. Conceptually, the gunners on each turret are replaced with individually functioning artificial intelligence capable of more accurately determining a target's expected trajectory than a human, thereby increasing firing accuracy.

At the same time, all installed AI units are controlled by a more powerful computer, which, based on specified parameters, determines the most effective tactics for firing at an enemy ship. The ship's captain only has to give the command to open fire. Due to the implementation of numerous AI blocks, the cost of the project is much higher, taking into account the estimated implementation time (2 months).

⠀└ proj.last.change:28/09/835

The project involves the implementation of additional real-time simulation systems, allowing the ship to navigate much more effectively on the battlefield. From the bridge, this manifests as additional trajectories for attack, evasion, and faster movement toward allied ships, flanks, or behind enemy lines.

The improvement also includes an emergency maneuvering system, which is an additional AI option: the ability to deploy maneuvering devices when a human fails to monitor the situation and finds themselves in danger.

The ship's captain has the right to independently decide when to switch to an alternate trajectory. The captain also retains the right to activate or deactivate the emergency maneuvering system.
