I agree with your opinion, Jinx. But the thing, that forced me to think about a little change was the politics of Microsoft regarding "forcing" the users to "upgrade" to Vista, which I somhow can not stand although I have never even seen the system. Sooner, or later, the time will come, when XP wont have better support(technical, hardware, whatever), than Win 3.11. From what I have experienced so far, here on Linux, everything can be adjusted, everything can be changed, the system works with HW, that has serious problems even on XP and it is for free - open source everywhere around.

The worst problem here, is that Linux is different, than windows. It really needs its user attention all the time and to have a perfectly working Linux (20 seconds to start the PC, 2 seconds to start Open Office...) it really requires the user to be geeky.
The second worst problem is emulating games, for what XP is still better and I am willing to keep it. (But I will try to get FL working here anyway.)

EDIT: Opera running.. Now for Skype&Wine...
