Anyway, personally I love the idea of a sensor jammer. I'd imagine it being like, bounty hunter chasing a pirate, pirate using sensor jammer charge, causing the bounty hunter's sensors to subsequently drop from a maximum ship-detection range of 10k to, say, 5k. After which a pirate need only get into a nebula or so to escape.

Question for them modders among us: is it possible to make a piece of equipment that effectively combines this with invisibility of the ship (not on radar, I'm talking visual scanners here - eyes)?

It might be a neat idea (which stewcool's comment gave me actually) to have an extremely expensive piece of equipment capable of cloaking you, as long as you, say, do not use it to get away from a hostile ship.

Anyway, sensor jammer would do quite nicely too of course;)
