The problem here is that everyone tries to view bornholme as 'owned by all'. It isnt. It is under the control of the junker's union.
When the union was first created, there was nothing but chaos in omega 15. There were non junkers corsairs, hessians, even military all trying to step on each other to get their hands on as much scrap as they could. Even the 'real' junkers had absolutely no respect or care for the wellbeing of anyone else in the field.
The union was created to fix that problem, and it wasnt easy. Where the junker's congress and many other groups sprang up with little resistance, myself and the other founding members of the union had to literally fight a war at bornholme to clean up the mess. We had to destroy numerous ships and lost plenty of our own to bring order to the station and the workers there.
Now every junker resident to bornholme is part of the union. They all support it, and - like it or not - any 'visitors' from the outside are going to have to abide by our rules. If they dont, they are denied docking privileges, salvage rights, and will have our weapons trained on them until they leave the area.
It may seem strict to you, but you werent here when the Union was established, you didnt have to risk your ships and your crews just to bring relative peace and sanctuary to the station. Ask anyone aboard, they will tell you the same - bornholme belongs to the union, it is our home and we will not tolerate disobedience or insubordination by non union members while they are here.
//and no, this isnt just 'written' rp - I actually had to clean up that field as stated above. There were bounty hunters, indy rheinlanders, corsairs, hessians, traders, liberty navy, and even outcasts in the field fighting over scrap. It was not easy, and if mining wasnt screwed up right now I'd still be fighting daily to keep order there. The station belongs to JU members, and that's final.
