Virtual bank?

On a server where I am an Admin, there is a virtual bank. It works like this:
Player creates a bank character and on the forum there is a bank section where the account is shown.
Player can make transfers to an Admin to the bank and the Admin can check on the forum the account name to see the amount in it when player wishes to withdraw cash.....

Is it a manual process? With the admins working as "tellers"? From what I understood the "balance" information is stored in the forum and the admins work as tellers to update on that based on player requests to deposit or withdraw. Is that it?
