Why? because they dont sell em on the open market like smaller ships, they build them for a specific purpose.
*Facepalm.*

"Well, he can't see to well in one eye, and he shoots squirrels off the street in front of his house, but who are we to tell him he can't have a gun?"
Joe is being very open and kind about this. Can you show a little class and not completely troll this topic with your depressing "Here come the indy restrictions. *Sigh.*"?
Considerate system? Contact one of the HC to find out whether they put you on a list. No guaranteed turn-around time listed. Nothing stopping them from being bias. (Affecting all, even those who have role-played with them in the past, have a good RP and even have written something on the forum just to explain the vessel better.)
Considerate? I come onto the forums after a holiday and find out the Nebraska is now mysteriously grounded.
I do not find it depressing. Do you? Regardless, it is a restriction is it not? Furthermore, it is only against independents is it not? Then how is it not an "indy restriction", as you put it? I have only stated that truth.
Now, your ridiculous example. Is it meant to make all independent capital ship owners look like they want to shoot everything in sight? Or perhaps, make it look like they all suffer from some sort of impediment? Seriously, gun ownership is different from the right to fly pixels in a computer game. (Especially, if you are already following server rules.)
