Here is a faction idea that has been bouncing around my head ever since i began thinking about Marines/Infantry as commodities. Would be quite willing to run it and stuff, as long as i could find 1 or 2 experienced or at least sensible people to help me with this (i.e, the Marine Corps needs a command staff)
One note before i write up the outline, in no way should this be another Liberty Navy. Cap ships will be kept to the mininum, and Activity in New York will be restricted.

Faction Name- Liberty Marine Corps
Faction Tag- [LMC]
ID- Liberty Navy
Divisions of the LMC:

Liberty Marine Corps Aerospace Division
The LMC Aerospace division is responsible for the the following duties:
Escorting LMC Ships
Supporting LMC operations
Carrying out strike operations (Bombing)
LMC Aerospace Pilots are marines who have been trained by a joint Navy and Marine course to fly one of the LMC's small fleet of Fighter and Bomber Craft.
The LMC has been supplied with the following craft for this division:
Defender Heavy Fighter (Escort, Combat, Patrol) (Warrant Officer or above)
Liberator LF (Escort, Recon, Patrol) (Warrant Officer or above)
Guardian VHF (Combat) (Lieutenant or Above)
Havoc MK 2 Bomber (Strike, Combat) (Captain or Above) (requires a Bomber training course with a navy instructor)

Liberty Marine Corps Command Division
The Liberty Marine Corps Command Division is responsible for training and co-ordinating the LMC officer Corps that do not fall under the Aerospace Division. The officers under this division are responsible for commanding the marines themselves. The troops they command range from single well trained company's, to entire Divisions of marines. They command their troops from large troopships.
The LMC uses the following craft for this division:
Rhino Freighter (the rhino freighter carries a platoon of 40 marines(use passengers until marine commods are introduced), with 40 light arms. A platoon is commanded by a Lieutenant of the LMC.)
Armoured Transport (carries a full company of 225 marines.(+225 light arms, extra space for 50 military vehicles) a company is commanded by a captain.)
Mammoth Transport (carries a division of 1000 marines. (+1000 light arms, 200 military vehicles) a Disision is commanded by a Major.)
Prison Liner (Troopship) (Carries a full division, plus extra companies, military vehicles, etc. Commanded by a Colonel)

Liberty Marine Corps Fleet
This division is the one which has the fewest craft, the fewest officers, but the most firepower. It is comprised of the LMC's rare capital ships. The Fleet can use the following ships, but they must be approved by the Navy, as the Navy supplies the ships to the LMC.
Liberty Gunboat (Combat, Escort, Support) (Major or above)
Liberty Cruiser (Combat, Bombardement, Heavy Support) (Colonel or above)

Liberty Marine Corps High Command
The LMC High command will be organised as such
1st Marine Expeditionary Force, under LMC Central Command (Atlantis Class Carrier Quantico) (CINC)
2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, Under LMC (insert theater) Command (Assault Battlecruiser (insert name) (Commander)
3rd Marine Expeditionary Force, Under LMC (insert theater) Command (Assault Battlecruiser (insert name) (Commander)
All ships in the Liberty Marine Corps fleet, Aerospace division and Command division will each be assigned to one of the 3 expeditionary forces, and from that point on they will fall under the command of any higher ranking officer in that command. They will also limit most of their operations to the ZOI of that command. The ZOI of each expeditionary Force will be decided by the Liberty Navy, LSF and LMC's Commanders.
However, it is expected that the LMC Expeditionary forces will be deployed to the borders of liberty, with the aim of being ready to carry out the LMC's purpose, to defend Liberty, and to be ready to take military action, up to and including full scale invasion, if deemed neccesary by the Liberty High Command and its government. The LMC will not operate in New York with the exception of extreme circumstances (e.g rheinland or nomads invade New York)
LMC pilots can also be called upon to escort and carry Liberty Governmental officials, ambassadors and the president.

The LMC's Diplomacy would be something like this.
Allied (LMC ships, with the exception of High Command, or ships that must stay on post or on assignement as ordered by the command structure, can be called upon by these allies to assist in military operations, and answer calls for help)
Liberty Navy
LSF
LPI

Friendly (These are the factions that the LMC fights to defend)
Liberty House Corporations
Liberty Lawful Factions

Neutral (These factions are not a part of liberty, but are on good enough terms with liberty to attain this status)
Junkers
Zoners
Bretonian Military
Bretonian Police
Bretonian house corporations
Bounty Hunters
Corporations not affiliated with Rheinland, Criminals or Kusari

Tense (These factions are not kill on sight, but they are on the brink of hostilities or war with Liberty)
Kusari Military (KOS if violating Liberty Space)
Kusari Corporations
Rheinland Corporations

Hostile (these factions are illegal or at war with liberty)
Outcasts
Corsairs
Liberty Rogues
522nd
Phantoms
Nomads
Das Wilde
Red Hessians
Xenos
Gaians
Lane Hackers
Rheinland Military
SCRA
Coalition
All criminals.

Operations of the LMC:
The LMC is not here to patrol Liberty space, that is the navy and the polices job, neither are we here to police for contraband, that is for the police and LSF. The LMC is mostly concerned with maintaining a state of readyness and training, in preperation for full scale war with any house or faction (e.g. Rheinland or Kusari) (Or Gallia in 4.85) (Or large scale criminal groups)
We can be called upon to carry out Naval duties, or to support LSF/LN/LPI operations if our troops are need for such tasks, or if the Navy is unable to supply its fighters/bombers/ capship for the needed task.
The LMC's main role will be to deploy to Liberty's border, and to secure non House liberty Controlled space in readyness to use them as either a defensive buffer or a springboard for invasion.

RP- the LMC, due to its nature, will require much RP. OOC chat will not be accepted unless in private comms with a //.

LMC arsenal-
Justice
Lavablade
Vengeance
Magma Hammer
Flashpoint (for lack of rank 7 liberty guns)
Codenames
Torpedoes (except nova, the LMC does not condone suicide)
All Thrusters (except Nomad)
All Shields (except criminal/order/nomad)
All Mines
all CDs/Countermeasures
all armour upgrades
all Missiles
turrets appropiate to the transport or cap ship (if it looks out of place, or too big, its a no no) (e.g transport turrets on an armoured transport look way to big and do not connect to the ship properly)

So, what you all think?
