It all depends on the situation. I'd say it's ok to use bc or several bc's, but only when the target is surrounded by it's own capship support. Thing is that that doesn't happen all that often. Mostly it's that same cap-ship group against a single gunboat, bomber, fighter or even lightfighter. Sure the pirate can thrust away, but most of the time the bh's killed him before he knew what's going on.
