With the RP of my traveling not-really-mad-but-certainly-not-normal scientist, I had a run in with another scientist-typed character. Which, of course, got cogs clicking in my head.

While I doubt it ever becoming officially factionalized, what sort of merit does the idea of a Academic faction have? An organization for sciences and exploration, etc.

I think there's definitely a niche to be filled, what with the several exploratory and scientific characters I've already seen.

Thoughts about its operations? Or other commentary about the idea in general?

Morality, like art, means drawing a line someplace.
