Silly question about ship names

Just something I noticed and wondered about

Most capital ships use their house designation before their actual name, like LNS Montana or RNC Hanz
but all the actuall battleships in game don't use that, they are called by battleship..like Battleship Alma or Battleship Derby

But I've never seen a player have their ship named like that, I wonder why
I mean, well the inconsistancy bugs me a bit
