Powertrading etc

That's another bone of contention with me. Pirates that ask more than the profit on a run or want all your cargo. If I can't make money there's no point in trading, pirating is for rp not getting rich. If people want dozens of rules how about this one...put a cap on the amount a pirate can ask for , say 1,000,000. Then the traders won't just switch routes or characters to avoid you thus killing the rp. Then maybe the traders won't have to feel like their choice is silently cruise away spamming CMS or risk losing it all for some roleplay.

Rp is a 2 way street, I hear the pirates complain a lot about restrictions on them and the traders not wanting to rp but this is the traders perspective. If the pirates were more reasonable then traders would be far more willing to engage in good rp, I know I would.

I do a run, not that long, in a Pirate Transport (only 3600 cargo), and it makes me 10 million including both ways. Pirates, at most, usually ask for 2 million, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less.

You're not the only person playing, remember that.

Back on point, I don't think the term "powertrader" is used too much. I do think it is misconstrued too much. A powertrader is someone who trades simply for the profit; not a bad thing alone, but when they also do these things...

Offer little to absolutely no RP.

Allow themselves to die to save credits.

Attack without a word.

Pay without a word.

...then it's powertrading. I fly a pirate to have some fun, RP, have some PvP, and generally have fun interactions. I don't appreciate it when I offer RP and receive cruise engines, or 4 transport turrets in my face, instantly, and with no RP. That's what has coined this term, and there's no wrong in labeling some "powertraders", because that's exactly what they are.
