I took the Carpathia to Planet Leeds to assist with another Bretonia -> Rheinland evacuation program. Nearly two thousand Bretonian citizens applied for this trip - however we could only fit 85% of the applicants. With the Royal Liner loaded, crew ready and passengers calmed down, we moved out towards the New London jump gate. While we cruised away from the stricken planet, we received information that a Bretonian Templar was vapourised as we left orbit. The horrors of the war seemed so close, and so personal. I had heard that Ensign's voice before.
The trip through New London and Cambridge was safe, thankfully. No pirates stopped the Liner and all the refugees were comfortable and content.
In Omega-3, we encountered a few Bowex shippers who were supplying Leeds with Military vehicles. I did not inform the passengers of the ships' contents - they would not be happy to know these traders were continuing the terrible war. Soon after this encounter, we sheltered aboard Freistadt Base as an ion storm hit the sector.
Our trip through Stuttgart, New Berlin and Frankfurt were eventless, which was comforting to our passengers. Arriving in Munich, we encountered several Unioner fighter wings. Thankfully, our gunners were well-trained and managed to drive the terrorists off. Our passengers were shook up in the combat, but no injuries were reported. The sight of Planet Nuremberg appeased them - a new life, filled with many opportunities, awaits these refugees.
The Carpathia is now moored with Planet Nuremberg, ready for the return trip to Leeds. It was a pleasure assisting with the refugee evacuation process.
