Got Forgotten Battles today. It seems all very hard for me, so far at least. Going up or down seems to just jump the ship and targetting instead of sliding by. Never hit anything so far, except for once, but then I ended up blowing myself too.

Any advices for begginer? Perhaps Im doing something wrong. Passed third mission just now. Thanks god, I have a tough commander, if I had to do all this stuff by myself I'd be doomed.

Try turning down some of the difficulty settings. The 'jumping' your experiencing during climbs and dives is turbulence and head shake most, but also a few other factors. Turn off headshake and turbulence until you're more used to flying. Also, to help practice aiming use the time controls. When your going to shoot turn time down to 1/4th, then once you get better go to 1/2. Eventually you'll be able to fly with difficulty on full and aim without slowing the game down.

Once you get that down, then activate complex engine maintenance and master that.. Once you do you're good. Though if you just want to play for fun I'd keep complex engine off. Its just not worth the effort when you're playing to have fun and shoot things. Leave engine maintenance to FlightSim.

Also on aiming, get as close as possible. Something the tutorial says; 'If you think your close, get closer.' Distance of 5-15 is ideal. Every hit will do quite a bit of damage.

If you're using BF109s or other planes with heavy weaponry, aim for the center of the ship and pulverize them. If you using the P 40-51 series or similar planes with the scatter-effect shots, aim for the wings. Their guns just shred them off in a hit or two. Also, until your aim gets better, go with unlimited ammo. If you don't want to, thats fine too, but make sure your shots count if you do. Also if you have limited ammo and get in a dogfight.. Drop any bombs or tanks you are carrying. They aren't worth you getting shot up for. Getting rid of them will really help your turn and climb rates.
