In 1938, world leaders met at Evian in France to discuss the plight of Jewish refugees. This was the early part of the war, and while 150,000 Jews had already fled Germany, there were more than 350,000 men, women and children left.

Dr. Henry Feingold, a professor of history at the City University of New York, spoke of the complex mix of geopolitics that led to the languishing of the refugees during the war. Roosevelt did not push for resettlement in Palestine because he didn't wish to interfere in British hegemony over the Middle East. The United States flatly did not want to accept them. With seed money available from the European Rothschild family, all eyes turned to the Caribbean as a possibility.

The timing was right because the Dominican Republic, then led by the dictator Rafael Trujillo, was the only country willing to accept them. He pledged to take in 100,000 refugees.

I have recently met and discussed with Atalawohisdi the trader that flies the Caribe. Just so everyone knows, I engaged in Sigma 13. He flies through half the system before going back to New Berlin, where he cruises from one side of the system to the other, hugging the sun as close as he can. All the while, he flies near Battleships trying to scrape me off. I finally send out the white flag, and move back to Sigma 13. However, it was a ruse, and he bit. Knowing his trade route, I interdicted the trade lane and the chase began anew. It ended, an hour after it began, with me retreating, out of Countermeasures and getting very irritated.

He kept boasting how he has never been caught; I'd like to see him beat until he begs to pay, then beaten some more.
