My my, this is a rather bold move, even for you Stuart. Fraud now as well as good old honest piracy?

I would firstly like to officially state, on behalf of Her Majesty's Government of Bretonia, that we are deeply shocked and in no way condone this outrageous theft of credits.

However, on a personal note, I would also like to congratulate you for the confiscation of funds that greatly harms our enemy's war effort. Good show.

I had a brief conversation with some senior members of the Bretonian Judiciary and they concluded, quite quickly, that given the fact that the credits came from corsairs they were almost certainly stolen from Bretonian Citizens anyway, hence, ipso facto, you were in fact merely returning stolen goods to Crown ownership and, indeed, they cited the 805 Act as you rightly did. Of course, we would all naturally prefer that, as an Agent of the Crown thanks to your letter of Marque, you distributed these Crown funds in a productive manner, but given circumstances I doubt that Her Majesty is going to be demanding her money back from you any time soon. All indications are that she is quite content for you to spend it as you please, so long as you continue your good work.

Oh, and once again, I must officially utterly deplore this despicable act of deceit on behalf of the Bretonian Armed Forces.

Yours,

Sir Stanley Nelson
Fleet Admiral
Bretonian Armed Forces
