Top 3 things that make RP impossible

let's pull it back on topic then.

Lag play, I found that I was being message bombed the other day, unable to respond due to a Loss/Lag delay of over 12 minutes. IE I send at 9:00 and the message would appear in system chat at 9:12, leaving 12 minutes of time for the conversation to completely change topic.

To counter this, I merely screen shot-ted the conversation, took it to the Forums and answered the questions there. Beat getting angry and threatening to boot my modem out of the window of my 9th floor apartment... *blush*

Lag is a reality, it has to be dealt with, but can make for interesting RP, for example my ship had a lot of encounters with Artifacts recently and so we blame them for having made the ship rather "Faulty"... and I love my ship, it has personality now!

so Lag, it can be worked around, after all that is why we have a forum right?

Indies debate: I made the mistake recently of assuming All Indies were bad, then came to the realization that they actually aren't. There are some out there that are RP-ing to the best of their ability. I needed to learn a little more tolerance to them, and to find a way to include rather than just exclude them all together. (Again my apologies, I'm mature enough to admit I was wrong on that issue).

3. English.... since I speak Russian, can read and write some German, fluent in French, and Cambodian (don't ask) I have little issue with the Foreigners, actually some of them are quite surprised that I can communicate with them
