I don't think it made the Zoners Q_Q, I think it made some of the CoZ folks Q_Q. Which is rather disappointing because there's a sudden surge of anti-Silvan wave from people that were either asleep or never said anything. Now there are people talking about how corrupt she was while they themselves had held their mouth shut all this time.

It has made a lot of non-CoZ people Q_Q based on what I've received on Skype and the forums. Also, of course there is a surge of anti-Silvan from people. It'd be political suicide to support someone who just betrayed the Zoners. You're taking RP statements and applying it to a non-RP context. This negative sentiment is in-RP, not out-of-RP, else I'd be getting shunned by the Zoner players, but instead I'm still active in helping to finalize the agreements between the different groups, something we started early this week. I honestly don't know why you have such a dislike of me because of this, as you and Cameron are the only ones so far that seem to be having negative feelings OORP about this. So while I appreciate your opinion, I'm going to go with what I've gotten so far from most people.

And there's more participation from CoZ members too. Also rather annoying. As if the fact that Silvan has left makes any kind of fundamental difference. The people in CoZ always had a choice to overrule her.

The reason there is more participation is because there is no longer someone to speak for them. CoZ wasn't as inactive as the factions seemed to think it was. Granted, it wasn't as prevalent as before the Zoner split, but it wasn't disappearing either. They simply left me to do the public speaking, which is in fact the Chairman's job. Now the old chairman isn't around to hold their hand, so obviously they are going to start being more public and more active as well. It wasn't an issue of 'overruling' me, considering what I did was in keeping with CoZ' policies. They didn't need to overrule me when I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. You were looking on it from the outside, not the inside.

I don't know what hints you're talking about, but look at it from the outside. You've got a character that hasn't just spent her time "protecting Zoners." How about putting her life on the line on more than one occassion. Asgard Warriors were extremely active during their protection of O-74 and Omicron Theta against Zoner enemies. Aurelia put 1.5 billion credits into O-74, which in Roleplay is more than a fortune even for Royalty. As somebody who has spent 14 years living in another country, while being originally born in another, I can tell you that by that time you become institutionalized to a point that returning "home" is not that simple.

I don't think that it was out of character for Aurelia to become Zoner. I think it was inconsistant for her character to become Gallic (via retcon).

First off, it isn't a retcon. It's been developed for quite awhile.

Furthermore, yes, she spent money on Omicron-74.. Which she no longer owns anyway, so it's not like she's getting a lot out of it.

Moreover, thirteen years is awhile in galactic politics. Saying because she had done it for thirteen years she'll continue to do it doesn't connect. Along with that, remember that the faction she belonged to was the Zoners. Not Liberty, not an organized faction.. But a group of individuals that went out and did their own thing. First off, sleeper agents are trained not to become indoctrinated by what they are pretending to be. This is even more important for the Queen-in-waiting. She'd be even less susceptable to indoctrination than the average agent as she has significantly more at home than they do. She isn't just a citizen/agent of the nation she belongs to, but a member of its royal family. Don't you think that'd affect how much she can be influenced? She'd be more loyal to her nation than any other agent.

Back to the fact that it was the Zoners she belonged to.. They aren't an organized group. Also notice that the entire time she has been in the Zoners she has been an advocate of individual rights. Making sure everyone has fair and equal rights to everyone else. Basically that everyone still has the right and means to operate independently rather than acting like a house.. Now, in that enviroment, 'belonging to the group' isn't important. So there is no chance of indoctrination, as she's in a group that values individuality, which means she wouldn't be influenced by the Zoners. In fact, she had more influence on them than they had on her.


You're telling us your opinion, but advertising it as 'fact'. But what you think and what another person thinks can be two totally different things. Considering the fierce loyalty Gallians have, even more so for a member of the royal family, becoming 'institutionalized' isn't that big of an issue. Also keep in mind what Friday said, agents live in their target countries for that length of time rather regularly. You can't get important information against an enemy country without someone on the inside with access to that sensitive material.. And you don't get that kind of access in a few years. You have to be very well trusted for that. During the Cold War, the USA and England both had agents in the USSR, and they were there for a long time. Granted, not many as long as a decade, but that was due to security concerns, not indoctrination concerns. Usually when an agent switches sides, it's because there were things about their host country that were already upsetting them. For the USSR, this was mostly due to people with relationships with the party elite getting better jobs and conditions simply on knowing those people, while others who were more qualified were passed over. These kind of problems aren't an issue for someone like Aurelia. Perhaps if she spent 20-30 years in the Zoners she may have had some feeling for them, but she's only been there thirteen years. Turning down the Gallic throne just so she can be a part of the Zoners would be extremely out of character in almost any situation. You're giving the Zoners too much credit here. They aren't a utopian civilization.
