So if I understand the consensus here, it's totally up to the pirate to guess and hope he's not 'harming server gameplay' by doing what he thinks his character should be doing, rather than having his own rp sort it out or setting an actual rule that people can follow.

I think this should be more clearly defined, as it seems that's the only way to be "safe".


Example: Pirate A doesn't really give a hoot whether the trader is willing to pay or not. He really just wants to blow up that Shire to hurt Bretonia's ability to make war. He, by the defined rules, can destroy that trader RIGHT AFTER he's been paid. If he's after money, he can pirate that same trader again RIGHT AFTER he's been paid. There's nothing defined in the rules that says he can't do this, other than this ambiguous gray cloud that says 0.0 on it that might strike him down with lightning or might not.
