In regards to piracy

Rule (Whateverthisnumberis)

Pirates may attack a trader as they see fit before demanding cargo, but may not destroy the trader before a demand is made and/or before the trader has a chance to respond.

If the trader does not respond at all between 30 and 60 seconds, the trader may be destroyed without further question. If they speak in OOC or begin firing, they may also be destroyed/harmed intensely.

If the trader responds within the allotted time but cannot form a coherent and/or reasonable response, they are to be allowed 15-45 seconds to comply with a pirate's demand(s).

Traders can only be pirated once per encounter; i.e.: Only once during the period that trader is in scanner range of the pirate's ship. If they return later, after having left the range of the pirate, they can be pirated again.

Reasonable demands to traders would A) Be no greater than ~1/3 the value of the cargo or B) No more than 4 million credits.

Piracy is intended for Roleplay and not for Profit. Traders and Pirates are expected to roleplay well in encounters with each other, along with encounters with any other players.

Both sides are expected to not be douchebags to each other.
