In regards to piracy

My version, mostly stolen from Kurosora.

Upon interception, a pirate may deal as much damage as they see fit to a trader, after some form of interaction has occurred (threatening death and/or ordering the trader stop are suitable); however the trader cannot be completely destroyed before a ransom of some description is made (Be it goods, credits or so forth).

If the trader attempts to flee; opens fire; quits the game ("F1's"); does not respond or responds out of character (OOC), they may be destroyed without further interaction. However pirates must give the trader a reasonable time frame to respond to a demand.

There is no set definition on how many times a trader may be pirated in a single encounter (for example by multiple members of a raiding party). However, excessive piracy to the point where it is deemed harmful to the server may be dealt with by sanctions including fines or temporary bans in extreme cases. Please use reason.

There is no legal limit on what and how much a pirate is allowed to demand at an encounter, provided the demand is within their ID restrictions (if any). However, demands must be within the ability of the victim to pay. Asking for amounts of money or goods beyond what the trader has in his or her possession is not allowed. Use the player's level to ascertain their approximate worth. If the trader claims they cannot pay and level indicates this may be true, you must reduce your ransom to a lower amount.

It makes it known what a pirate's limits are without being unnecessarily specific and allowing admins to enforce "that" rule we all know and love, for people who see fit to act like dock n' balls.:)
