Just because you haven't caught those hints doesn't mean they aren't there. I've dropped countless hints over the last year or so about Aurelia being Gallic, though not hints about the royalty part (because if the people playing the Gallic lawfuls didn't agree to allow me to RP that, she would've been RP'd as a non-royal spy for Gallia). Just because you don't notice them doesn't mean they aren't there.
Nor was this RP developed over just the last month. In fact, this RP was supposed to be done already at this point, but had to be put on hold when the whole Zoner Alliance break off in the Zoners happened. I never planned on becoming chairperson as Aurelia, but ended up having little choice in the matter.
You seem to think her being a Zoner was out of character.. But how is being out of character, out of character for a spy? Should she have acted like a member of the Gallic Royalty and let everyone know who she was? -That- would be out of character. The whole fact that people didn't know was part of the RP. The RP would make no sense if everyone already knew who she was.
And yes, she spent time protecting the Zoners. That doesn't mean she'll abandon her own nation, especially when she is next in line to take the throne. She's returning to Gallia now, because its existence has been revealed to Sirius. Going back prior to that didn't make a lot of sense as she wasn't needed yet, nor was their any urgency in their situation. Gallia was trying to prevent Sirius from learning about it. Risking that by trying to get back into Gallia, passed the Council, wasn't an acceptable risk, so it wasn't done. Furthermore, the longer she was in Sirius, the more she would learn about them.
None of my RPs are spur of the moment, or ill-thought-out. I always put a lot of thought and planning into them. Forgive me if I don't reveal every ounce of my character's past to the community, thereby ruining the story.
