/info command

I don't like this idea. Really, it takes all the discovering part of RP. Having /info display info on a faction is a great idea. It will give people a basic idea of what certain factions do. Displaying all the information on a character, though, just takes the Roleplaying part of RP out of RPing. What fun is there in proding and poking someone about their character if they just come back with "//Use /info, noob"?

And, really, isn't character discovery and development one of the most fundamental parts of Roleplay? Take for example my AFA, Sousuke Patro. Given the fact that all GC flew dragon ships in the past, he has conjectured that the GC have sold themselves out to the Dragons in exchange for ships, and that the Dragons have proven themselves to be honorless devils because they would lower themselves to consorting with these drug addicts. That's just hot the character has evolved on account of the encounters that he has had when he didn't know much about the GC. If there was a little tab that tells me how to RP with someone, that just kind of takes all the creative elements out of RP, doesn't it? Almost like reading a script.

Furthermore, most idiots will just type "//RP with me! I'm a trader who wants RP!" or something similar on their /info and we won't get anywhere, mostly because they don't know what they want.

So, /info to display info on the ID faction, yes. /info to display character info that the player his put in, no. And, yes, scanner range only, please. That would be great.
